Person Beaten And Robbed In Cathedral City

A man who attacked and robbed somebody with a blunt object is on the loose today.

The attack was reported at 5:30 a.m. on Avenida Maravilla at Ramon Road in Cathedral City. The suspect beat the victim with what may have been a 2-by-4 stick and stole several items, said police Sgt. Corwin de Veas.

The suspect ran west on Ramon Road toward Avenida El Pueblo. He is a Hispanic man 20-30 years old with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

The victim had non-life threatening injuries, but refused treatment from paramedics, de Veas said.
