Fire Consumes House In Morongo Valley

An early morning house fire consumed a home in the high desert Monday.

The fire broke out at 5:15 a.m. near the intersection of Breeze Way and W. Desert Willow Trail in Morongo Valley.

Fire crews said the 1,000 square foot home was vacant when the fire erupted.

The intense fire burned the home so much it eventually collapsed.

No one was injured, and the smoke from the fire could be seen from the Coachella Valley.

Fire officials are now looking for what started the fire.
