Homeland Secruity Agents Net First Catch In Illegal Activity On Border
A campaign launched by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has netted its first arrest.
Agents arrested a man they said was involved in clandestine drug activities in one of the region’s most violent areas, just west of the Calexico Airport, said Spokesman Aaron Van Zee.
He said the arrest came as a result of an investigation that included police from both sides of the border and help from the community.
The concentrated investigations are part of a campaign developed by D.H.S. called ?Se Busca Informacin,? or Searching For Information.
It’s designed to disrupt and displace transnational smuggling operations and those that present a threat to communities.
