Deadly Crash Reported On Interstate 10

The California Highway Patrol confirms 21 year-old Blue Jay Yang of Banning was killed in Tuesday morning’s crash caused by heavy rain.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 11:10 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway at the Ramsey Street exit.

Witnesses said a Honda sedan driven by Yang, lost control and came to rest on the side of the road.

When Yang got out to check for damage, a truck skidded out of control, rolled and hit the driver, killing him instantly.

The occupants of the truck were not hurt.

The CHP says some witnesses who saw the crash did not stick around to give witness statements. They are asking for anyone who saw the crash to call the Banning CHP office.
