Former Youth Soccer League Leader Arrested For Theft

A former youth soccer official who faced embezzlement charges in 2009 faced new charges on Thursday.

Sharon Arline Schumaier, 42, was arrested Tuesday for burglary and forgery, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Investigators said she broke into a friend’s house in May and took personal documents to open an bank account. The victim noticed in October and called police.

It’s not clear whether Schumaier was able to get any money out of the alleged scheme.

Schumaier was booked in the Indio jail on $113,000 bail.

Ironically, Schumaier was originally accused of stealing the same amount of money, $113,000, from the youth soccer organization in 2009.
