Bomb Threat at Banning Bus Station

A bomb scare Saturday night led to evacuations of a charter bus in Banning.

Streets were closed down, on Ramsey between 4th and 8th. Those streets opened up again about 10 p.m.

According to police, a woman riding a charter bus got off at her stop in Indio. The woman, who has not been named, called the bus company telling them that that she accidentally left a package on the bus filled with liquids that could potentially explode.

Those on the bus were been evacuated, along with local businesses in the area. A bomb squad was sent to the scene. They say nothing has been found.

The woman in question is cooperating with police.
