Desert Hot Springs Police Search For Third Carjacking Suspect
Two people were behind bars on Thursday, and another was on the run following a carjacking in Desert Hot Springs.
Police said the incident happened on Jan. 22 at a car wash on the 13000 block of Palm Drive.
The victim said he was approached by three men carrying semi-automatic handguns.
He said they took his cash and his car.
Just hours later, police spotted the victim’s car, but the suspects inside were able to get away.
About 5 days later, police say they arrested one of the suspects, Nicholas Gant, 20.
On Thursday, police arrested a 17-year-old who they said was also in the car.
Police were still looking for the third suspect, Avante Gant, 18.
