Police Look To Identify Attempted Robbery Suspect

Indio Police are asking for your help in tracking down a robbery suspect.

Police say the incident began last Tuesday evening at the K&A convenience store on Avenue 44 in Indio. There, the victim cashed a check. When he walked out, the suspect followed. That suspect was captured on camera, seen in these photos released Sunday.

A while later, a block away on the 82-800 block of Kenner Street, the suspect allegedly asked the victim for a ride home. The victim got out of his vehicle and went to open the passenger side door from the suspect. That’s when police say the suspect held up a wrench over the victim’s head, threatening to hit him if he didn’t hand over his money.

The victim refused and said he was going to call police. The suspect then ran off.

If you know who this person is or have any information about the attempted robbery, call Valley Crimestoppers at (760) 341-STOP. You can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
