Man Found Dead In Cathedral City Spa
A man was found unresponsive in a community spa in the Desert Princess Country Club on Friday and was later pronounced dead.
Family members say Edward Fredericks, 89, recently had back surgery and had gone into the spa for therapy around 4 p.m.
He was pronounced dead around 4:30 p.m., according to the Riverside County Coroner, after drowning.
The circumstances surrounding the incident were still under investigation on Saturday.
