Two Women Robbed At Casino Morongo Parking Lot
Two robbers believed to be working in concert robbed two women today in the parking lot of Casino Morongo, authorities said.
The first victim was at her car in an outdoor parking lot of the casino when she was accosted by a man in a dark pullover shirt and black pants who brandished a handgun and stole her purse, said Riverside sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Fredericks. The robber fled in a white minivan.
Minutes later, a woman was robbed on the way to her vehicle in a casino parking structure by a man in black clothing, Fredericks said, adding that he pulled out a handgun and demanded money and also fled in a white minivan.
Deputies believe the two men were working together, sheriff’s Cpl. Courtney Donowho said.
