Palm Springs Air Museum Names New Vice President

Jeffrey R. Givan has been named as the new staff Vice President at the Palm Springs Air Museum, it was announced on Wednesday.

?He earned it, he deserves it. Jeff is fully qualified, extremely loyal and a team player. He goes way beyond what?s expected,? said Museum Director Dick Clark.

Givan started as a volunteer in 2007. He has logged over 1,500 hours serving in Aircraft Restoration, on the ramp crew who coordinate all incoming and outgoing aircraft and in the library working with simulators and conducting veterans interviews for the Oral History Project through the U.S. Library of Congress.

?Being involved in the Palm Springs Air Museum is a dream come true for me,” Givan said. “Whether it was as a volunteer or now on staff, I have always been fascinated with World War II aircraft and the history surrounding that time.

“Being a part of this organization, whose mission statement is to preserve, educate and honor, is such a thrill. The fact that there are so many heroes who come through the museum, whether they are World War II vintage or our latest heroes from Iraq and Afghanistan, is amazing to be part of,? he said.
