Driver Found From Hit And Run In Coachella
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department was searching Saturday for a driver of a 4-door sedan that hit a little girl in Coachella, and then drove off.
It happened around noon, near the intersection of Avenida Cortez and Via Hermosa.
Deputies say the car hit an 11 year-old girl on a bike. The driver stopped briefly after the collision, then sped off toward Avenue 50.
The girl was rushed to JFK Hospital with minor injuries. Officials say she should be fine. They have not released her name.
Police say they have found the driver and made contact. Right now no hit and run charges have been filed.
