Deadly Shooting In Desert Hot Springs Apartment Complex

One person was killed and another is listed in critical condition after they were both shot at a Desert Hot Springs apartment complex on Tuesday night.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. in the Country Hills Apartments, on the 66900 block of Ironwood Drive.

Sgt. Ken Peary said the shots were fired outside of the apartment buildings.

Alfredo ?Peanuts? Stultz, 21, of Desert Hot Springs, was killed in the gunfight.

Another man, whose name has not been released, is being treated in critical condition at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm springs.

“This is a family complex,” said one of the residents.

“I have children,” said another. “It’s a major concern.”

Peary said investigators believed this was a gang-related incident as both victims have ties to area gangs.
