Deputies Arrest Drunk Driver In Palm Desert
A two-vehicle crash in Palm Desert Saturday night ended with at least one person in the hospital and another in custody.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Angel Ramos said it happened just after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Cook Street and Hovley.
Deputy Ramos told News Channel 3 that a man was driving under the influence, when he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into another car.
At least one person was taken to the hospital, no word on the extent of any injuries.
Sheriff’s Deputies say they took the intoxicated man into custody on a DUI charge.
No names have been released.
Deputies are still investigating.
