Palm Springs Home Depot Reopens After Morning Fire
The Home Depot hardware store in Palm Springs was evacuated and closed for part of the day on Monday after an electrical fire sent smoke into the building.
The fire was reported around 9:45 a.m. at the store located at 5200 E. Ramon Road, according to fire crews at the scene.
Investigators told News Channel 3 the electrical fire started near the roof of the store, and the smoke seeped inside the building, sending it to the retail floor.
Palm Springs fire investigators were trying to find out what caused the fire.
The store reopened for business Monday afternoon.
No one was injured.
