Cousteau To Open Rancho Mirage Speakers Series
Marine explorer Jean-Michel Cousteau will open the 2012 Rancho Mirage Speakers Series Wednesday.
Cousteau will speak at the Annenberg Center for the Health Sciences at Eisenhower Medical Center. Former CIA operations officer Valerie Plame Wilson and former con man Frank Abagnale Jr. are also scheduled to speak in the next few months.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michel Cousteau has explored the world’s oceans aboard the research vessels Calypso and Alcyone. He is president of Ocean Futures Society, a nonprofit dedicated to exploration, research, and the communication of issues pertaining to oceans.
Cousteau has produced more than 80 films and has received an Emmy and a Peabody award.
