Fans Crowd Bars To Watch Superbowl XLVI
Friends, food, and football: “Should be a good one, wait all year for this to happen. I think it’s the single best sporting event out there. Great action and great atmosphere,” a fan said.
Fans from all over gather around TVs for Super Bowl XLVI.
“The entertainment, the game, the excitement,” Giants fan April Waters said.
“I think it’s going to be a tremendous game. I think we’ve got two great quarterbacks, two great teams,” Craig Morgan said.
Fans said bars are the way to go to watch the Patriots and the Giants duke it out.
“There’s just so much energy in the bar, so many people into the game, and the energy level is way higher than being at home. Just a lot more fun,” Morgan added.
As fans put drinks back at bars during the game, police await the end of the fourth- hoping for a night less eventful than the game.
“Unfortunately, Super Bowl Sunday historically is a day where we do see a high number of arrests for drunk driving and accidents that are caused by drunk drivers,” Palm Springs Police Department’s Harvey Reed said.
“You have to be careful and watch what you drink, have a beer or two and not get too rowdy,” Giants fan Villy Newman said.
So the fun and games can stay that way.
