Baby Dies In Thousand Palms Crash
A baby is dead after a crash on Interstate 10 in Thousand Palms.
Three cars collided, east of the Monterey Exit, Sunday at 6:45 p.m. in the westbound lanes.
The California Highway Patrol says a 9 month old baby in one of the vehicles died.
The child was strapped in its child safety seat, but the seat itself was not properly attached to the car.
Four others suffered moderate or minor injuries.
