Garage damaged from morning fire

The cause of a morning garage fire in Palm Springs is under investigation.

Around 8:20 Wednesday morning, firefighters were called to a home in the 700 block of Spencer Drive in Palm Springs. The garage was in flames, but they were able to stop the fire from spreading to the rest of the home.

One car was destroyed in the blaze that caused extensive damage to the garage area.

The good news the man inside was able to escape unharmed with his grandson, and they were thankful that the firefighters also rescued their 5 cats.
