“Buck Fire” horse rescue

The animal shelter this two-year-old mare is a very sweet and was rescued from a property located within fire lines of the “Buck Fire”. The shelter says, that the owner cannot get back to his home yet and so they will be caring for the horse for another day or so at their facility at the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus.

Shelter officials says, even though their shelter is no longer on a 24-7 staffing level. If necessary, any new fire evacuees with pets can call 951-358-7387 during after-hours periods and request assistance.

They will make arrangements to meet the evacuees at the San Jacinto shelter with pet drop-offs.
