Police investigate trio of east valley crimes

Police are investigating several armed robberies in La Quinta that are possibly related.

Two women say a man with a gun stole their purses Saturday night on the 54000 block of Avenida Rubio.

Another man had his wallet stolen a half hour later near Venice Drive and San Marino court.

The suspect in both of these crimes was a hispanic man in his late 20’s or early 30’s who sped off in a white suv.

Police say two men forced their way into a La quinta home on the 51000 block of Avenida Bermudas then stole some property.

The suspects were described as hispanic, 5’8″ with a medium build and wearing dark clothing.
