Firearm safety course begins tonight in Palm Springs
The Palm Springs Police Department will begin its two-week firearms safety course today.
The class, mostly about handguns, will be held at the department’s training center today, Thursday, Dec. 4 and Dec. 6. Classes are 6 to 9 p.m.
On Dec. 8, a two-hour session at a firing range is scheduled. The course covers laws and permits, ammunition, how to choose a handgun, care and maintenance, and basic marksmanship.
