School buses back in Indio Hills

A News Channel 3 follow-up on an effort to bring school buses back to the Indio Hills community, a remote neighborhood miles from the nearest high school.

News Channel 3 confirmed Thursday with the district that bus service will be reinstated January 7th.

Mother of 5, Liliana Murillo says, “They will know they have dependable transportation, even if it’s at 6:45, it means it’s safer and they don’t have to be stressing about how they go to school tomorrow and have to depend on someone else.”

One bus will pick up nearly 50 kids in the morning and take them home, after school.
