Cathedral City man suspected of causing drunk driving crash in Rancho Mirage

A Cathedral City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after he crashed into two SUV’s that had collided in an intersection in Rancho Mirage, authorities said today.
The crash resulting in the arrest occurred at Bob Hope and Dinah Shore Drives at 2:04 p.m. Tuesday, a police statement said.
Deputies responding to a report that a 2000 Ford Explorer and a 2004 Toyota Highlander had collided at a red light found a third vehicle in the intersection, the statement said.
Joseph Garcia, 55, of Cathedral City, was treated for injuries at a hospital, then booked into the county jail in Indio on suspicion of DUI, according to the statement.
