Marine recovering from gunshot wound needs public’s help

The mother of a marine shot in Desert Hot Springs last December is asking for help with medical funds. Corporal Craig Maddy is hanging on for life in the ICU at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. Maddy was shot in the head on December 5th, 2012 and police still do not have a suspect in the case.

Maddy had just returned from a tour in Afghanistan and was celebrating a birthday in the Valley with friends before the shooting occurred.

The family needs a quarter million dollars to help build housing for Maddy and also establish a trust fund. So far they say they have raised $50,000 dollars.
