Shiver in the Desert

It’s a cold and windy start to the work-week. The desert hasn’t seen a cold-streak like this, since 2007.
The National Weather Service tells us in nearby Thermal, where the normal low this time of year is 38 degrees, they’ve had 8 nights with overnight temperatures, dropping into the 20’s, since New Year’s Day.
The cold is one thing, but the wind makes it an entirely different story for those who work outside.
Richard Pruitt works in construction and tells us, “You always work through it. You just work a lot smarter, especially with the wind like this.”
The coldest temperature on record for Palm Springs was on January 22, 1937, at 19 degrees.
