Homeless man accused in El Paseo break-in

Police say a homeless man was in custody Monday accused of breaking into a Palm Desert business through its roof.

Riverside County Sheriffs deputies arrested Tyler Darrah, 23, after he allegedly dropped into a shop on the 72600 block of El Paseo through its roof early Sunday morning.

He reportedly triggered an alarm inside the business then took off by smashing the front glass door.

Deputies checked the area and said they located Darrah at a nearby fast food restaurant where they took him into custody.

He’s now facing probation violation charges along with commercial burglary.
