San Diego man suing the Boy Scouts and his former camp counselor

A man who was sexually abused by a Boy Scouts camp counselor more than a decade ago in San Diego County has sued the organization and his abuser.

The man, now 29, sued last week. He and six others were molested by Glenn Jordan, who was convicted in 2001 and spent seven years in prison.

The suit says Jordan molested the boy a dozen times, beginning when he was 14, at Jordan’s house and a Scout camp in Santa Ysabel.

Jordan’s last known address was in Perris, according to the Megan’s Law website, but he had no phone listing and couldn’t be reached for comment.

Boy Scouts of America spokesman Deron Smith says the organization takes protecting youth seriously and extends its sympathies to victims.
