Burglary at the Best Buy in Palm Desert

Police are searching for multiple suspects after a burglary at the Best Buy in Palm Desert early this morning.

Around 3:30 a.m., Palm Desert police responded to an alarm at Best Buy. They discovered that the rear roll-up door used for large shipments had been rammed in an attempt to break into the store. However, they found no evidence of entry, and no suspects or vehicles were found near the scene.

Later in the morning, when Best Buy employees looked at theirsurveillancevideo, they saw multiple people entering the building though a small space that was being temporarily created by a vehicle actively pressing against the rear roll-up door. This explained the damage to the door as well as the lack of evidence showing entry had been made.

In the video, the individuals were wearing dark clothing and hooded sweatshirts. It was only reported that they store “multiple items” from the store. What exactly they stole, and the value of those items, is not known at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
