Caltrans will be closing lanes, testing your patience this week
Caltrans-related road closings starting today areexpected to slow commutes across the Coachella Valley.
Westbound state Route 62 will be narrowed to one in each directionbetween the San Bernardino County line and North Indian Canyon Drive from 8a.m. until 4 p.m. today through Friday, according to the California HighwayPatrol Officer Joe Zagorski.
Starting Thursday, state Route 74 will be narrowed to one lane in eachdirection between Ribbonwood and Pinyon drives from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Zagorskisaid.
On Interstate 10, overnight work Friday through Monday will have theNos. 3 and 4 lanes closed between Gene Autry Trail and Bob Hope Drive, he said.
Zagorski cautioned drivers to be on the lookout for big rigs mergingleft where the freeway narrows.
