Four fugitives sought in the Coachella Valley
Four men wanted for serious crimes, including rape andmurder, were being sought Wednesday in the Coachella Valley, investigators with theRiverside County District Attorney’s Office said.
Iyad Mahmoud Qeimari, 29, is suspected of raping an intoxicated woman hepicked up in his cab in Palm Springs. On May 7, 2011.
The woman told policeshe had been drinking in Palm Springs the night before and called a cab to takeher home because she was too intoxicated to drive.
The cab driver, identifiedas Qeimari, drove her to his apartment in Cathedral City without herconsent and undressed and bathed her in the bathroom, according to theRiverside County District Attorney’s Office.
“He then took her to his bedroom where he raped her and sexuallyassaulted her,” a statement from the DA’s Office alleged. “He later drove thevictim home, where he demanded cab fare and an extra clean-up fee. He took herpurse and removed all of her cash, about $64, from her wallet.”
Qeimari is described as Middle Eastern, about 5 feet 5 inches and 120pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Juan Hidalgo Aguilar, 41, is suspected of intentionally running over aman at the scene of a traffic collision at Date Palm and Second streets inMecca on Nov. 25, 2007.
California Highway Patrol officers found the victim, Raul Morales,fatally injured in the road. Investigators discovered that Aguilar’s van struckMorales’ vehicle, then Aguilar “intentionally ran over Morales after the crashbefore fleeing the scene,” according to the DA’s Office.
The van was found several blocks away and there was evidence of Moralesbeing run over on the van’s undercarriage, according to the DA’s Office.
Aguilar was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 8 inches and 150 pounds,with black hair and brown eyes. He had tattoos on his left wrist, upper rightarm and chest.
Joshua Dario Constante, 27 — also known as Juan Carlos Perez — issuspected of robbing a jewelry store in Palm Desert and assaulting some womenin the store.
The robbery was reported on May 19, 2006, at Estate Jewelry Collectionon El Paseo. Constante and another man allegedly entered with guns and orderedemployees to open safes, according to the DA’s Office.
“During the robbery, Constante cut the bras and panties off of thefemale victims after binding their hands and placing duct tape over theirmouths and eyes. Constante also kicked the women several times throughout the attack,” the DA’s Office alleged.
The men took a large amount of jewelry and cash and drove off. InOctober 2011, the second man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 16 years inprison.
Constante was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 160 pounds,with black hair and brown eyes.
Ruben Rodriguez Ramirez, 48, is suspected of fatally shooting a man inIndio on June 15, 2002.
The victim, Alex Sims, was found shot seven times near his residence onHopi Avenue, and died at a nearby hospital. Detectives determined that Sims waslast seen by witnesses talking to Ramirez outside Sims’ home just before shotswere heard. A car in which Ramirez had been seen before the shooting was seenspeeding away from the area, according to the DA’s Office.
Ramirez was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 7 inches and 200 pounds,with black hair and brown eyes. He had “Indio” tattooed on his stomach andother tattoos on his back, chest and right hand.
