Ramon Road rehab project begins

Crews hit the pavement today on the long-awaited Ramon Road rehab project. Mayor Kathy Derosa and Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Chairman Jeff Grubbe started the project with a ground breaking at Date Palm and Ramon Road.

The Agua Caliente Tribe secured $2.3 million in transportation funds to begin the project.

It’s the city’s biggest construction project in more than 30 years. Ramon Road is one of the most traveled in the valley with more than 30,000 people traveling across it daily.
