Fire burns brush in Thermal

Cal Fire confirms a 3-5 acre fire is burning heavy brush on the 69-400 block of Filmore St in Thermal.

Water tenders are responding to the scene, and as of 4:20 p.m. no structures were threatened.The fire officially started at 3:50 p.m.

UPDATE (4:55 p.m.) – According to our crew on scene, the fire is out, and crews will be on scene for about an hour mopping up.
