Hard Rock Hotel holding second job fair today

The soon-to-open Hard Rock Hotel will hold itssecond job fair at the Palm Springs Convention Center today.

The hotel’s first job fair drew 4,000 to 5,000 people on Friday,prompting organizers to schedule another. Today’s event will run from 9 a.m. to1 p.m.

Job seekers planning to attend today’s job fair should download anapplication from www.hrhpalmsprings.com and fill it out ahead of time. Thosewho cannot attend should email applications to careers@hrhpalmsprings.com.

About 100 full- and part-time jobs are available at the hotel, which isslated to open Oct. 4. Positions to be filled include pool attendants,engineers and jobs in guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage service,retail and spa. Benefits include health insurance, paid vacation and holidays,opportunities for promotion and recognition programs.

Hard Rock International, which has 18 hotels around the world, isworking with Kittridge Hotel Management to turn the Hotel Zoso at 150 S. IndianCanyon Drive into the Hard Rock. The 163-room hotel will have a spa and gym,gift shop, restaurant, lobby bar, pool and fire pits, along with 20,500 squarefeet of ballroom and banquet facility space and a business center.

In keeping with a music theme, the hotel will feature a VIP “rockstar” suite, music memorabilia, and a program called “Sound Of Your Stay”allowing guests to download a personal playlist, play Fender guitars and mixmusic tracks.
