EPA says arsenic found in Riverside mobile home park water
Federal regulators have ordered a Southern California mobile home park to get rid of arsenic polluting the drinking water supply for 300 residents.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says it gave the order last week to D&D Mobile Home Park in Riverside County. The agency says some water samples from the park were found to contain nearly six times the EPA maximum level for arsenic.
The privately owned park is on the Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indian Reservation. The owners were given 90 days to come up with a plan to reduce the arsenic.
Calls Tuesday to D&D weren’t immediately returned.
