A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Coachella Valley and San Gorgonio Pass

High pressure building to the north in the Great Basin is causing gusty northeasterly winds this morning, prompting the National Weather Service in San Diego to issue a Wind Advisory until 6 PM Tuesday.
A Red Flag Warning is also in effect for areas to the west, including the San Gorgonio Pass, to indicate fire danger with the gusty and dry offshore winds. Details are listed below.

MOST WIDESPREAD WINDS FROM AFTER SUNRISE THROUGH EARLY
AFTERNOON.

* VISIBILITY…IN THE NORTHEAST COACHELLA VALLEY…LOCALLY
REDUCED IN BLOWING SAND AND BLOWING DUST.

* IMPACTS…THE WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT…ESPECIALLY
