Bicyclist killed in car crash in Coachella
A bicyclist is dead after being hit by a car in Coachella shortly after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Van Buren Boulevard and Avenue 48.
The man died at the scene. He’s described as being around 50-years old and was wearing dark clothing.
Authorities say a family was in the car that hit him. They weren’t injured.
The family is cooperating with the investigation.
The streets around the area were closed for about 3 hours.
