Cathedral City shooting leaves one man injured
A Calexico resident was in serious condition after a Cathedral City shooting late Monday night.
Police officers were clearing a call at the Cathedral Canyon 7-11 store on the 88500 block of Dinah Shore when officers say a motorist pulled into the parking lot with a man who’d been shot inside a green Toyota 4Runner.
The incident was reported at 10:15 p.m.
The as yet unnamed 25-year-old had been hit in his upper right shoulder and was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Officers believe the shooting happened on Sky Blue Water Trail nearby.
No arrests were reported.
