New sewer line installment will impact traffic in Palm Desert
Some lane closures are scheduled on Highway 111 in Palm Desert because the Coachella Valley Water District is installing a new sewer line.
Two eastbound lanes of Hwy. 111 between Park View and Fred Waring Drive will be closed Monday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
One eastbound lane will also be closed in the same location on Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Officials said the majority of the work will be done at night to minimize traffic congestion, but drivers should allow extra time or use alternate routes while the project takes place.
