Indio man killed in shooting Friday morning
Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting early Friday morning in Indio.
The 36-year-old man was found dead from a gunshot wound at the Mountain View apartment complex around 12:15 a.m., according to the Indio Police Department.
The apartments are located in the 83300 block of Avenue 44. Officers said the man was shot in the head.
Neighbors told police they never heard a gunshot or any commotion Thursday night.
Police have notified the man’s family but they aren’t releasing his name at this time. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office is assisting with the homicide investigation.
