Driver hits tree, dies in Moreno Valley

Cal Fire confirms the driver of a car that crashed into a tree in Moreno Valley died Sunday.

The car left the 60 Freeway at 2:13 a.m. on the eastbound Valley Freeway at Day Street, said the Riverside County Fire Department’s Melody Hendrickson.

The driver has not been identified. California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
