Citibank robbed in Palm Desert by armed suspect

Officials with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said the Citibank located in the 44000 block of Town Center Way in Palm Desert was robbed Monday morning.

Deputies responded to the robbery call at the bank near the Westfield Mall around 10:15 a.m.

According to Deputy Albert Martinez, the suspect was described as being either Hispanic or white, in his mid to late forties, 5’5″, 150 pounds, wearing a black baseball cap, dark-hooded sweatshirt with dark pants and sunglasses.

Martinez says the man was armed. He walked into the bank and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Nobody was hurt during the robbery.

Deputies are still searching the area for the suspect. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Investigator David Jones with the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station at (760) 836-1600.
