LA man identified in deadly DHS shooting
Officers with the Desert Hot Springs Police Department are investigating after a Los Angeles man was killed in a shooting Tuesday night near Palm Drive and East Acoma Avenue.
Emergency crews were called to the shooting at 66530 Buena Vista Avenue around 7:10 p.m. Officers found 30-year-old Maurice Kelly suffering from several gunshot wounds.
Kelly was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries, according to police.
There’s no description of a suspect at this time. The Desert Hot Springs Police Department continues to investigate and asks anyone with information about the shooting to contact the watch commander or Detective Lindsey by calling 760-329-2904.
