One dead, four injured in tour bus collision in San Bernardino County

Authorities say the driver of a car that collided with a tour bus carrying 17 people has died in Southern California.

The crash was reported around 7 p.m. Sunday at Valley Boulevard and Linden Avenue.

Jeff Allen, engineer and paramedic with San Bernardino County Fire, said the driver and sole occupant of the sedan had to be extricated from the vehicle.

The 26-year-old victim was taken to Kaiser Hospital Fontana with life-threatening injuries. He later died at the hospital.

Authorities say four people on the bus suffered minor injuries.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
