Fire contained at site of old Amistad High School

Firefighters have contained a blaze that sparked at the site of the old Amistad High School in Indio Tuesday morning.

According to officials with Cal Fire, firefighters responded to 44801 Golf Center Parkway just after 8:30 a.m. and found a modular building on fire near the rear of the structure.

They had the fire contained by 9:30 a.m.

Nobody was injured in the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
