Burglary investigation reveals suspected hash oil lab in DHS
A Desert Hot Springs man was arrested Monday on accusations of burglary and illegal drug manufacturing after police served a search warrant at his home in connection to a residential burglary from August 1.
Christopher Cross, 29, was being investigated for the burglary which happened near the 72000 block of Ginger Rodgers Road in Rancho Mirage, according to the sheriff’s department.
Deputies learned the suspect was selling the victim’s property online.
The investigation then led to Monday’s search warrant, which was served near the 66000 block of Pierson Boulevard in Desert Hot Springs. Authorities said they recovered the victim’s stolen property and they also found items associated with a butane hash oil lab.
The Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force was brought in to investigate and process evidence from the lab, the sheriff’s department said in the release.
