5 men arrested on suspicion of burglarizing Rancho Mirage homes

Five men have been arrested in connection to several residential burglaries that occurred in Rancho Mirage over the past month. Authorities said deputies from the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team began looking into the burglaries on October 30.

The Palm Desert Burglary Suppression Unit and the Indian Wells Special Enforcement Team assisted with the investigation, and on Thursday, December 3, the following suspects were identified and arrested for their connections to the burglaries:

23 year-old Palm Springs resident Daniel Champion – residential burglary and conspiracy
32 year-old Cathedral City resident Jose Hernandez – residential burglary, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, possession of methamphetamine, and violation of probation
41 year-old Cathedral City resident Gregorio Viramontes – possession of a controlled substance for sale and child endangerment
35 year-old Cathedral City resident Carlos Iniesta – residential burglary, conspiracy, and a parole violation
32 year-old Rancho Mirage resident Juan Ramirez – possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, and violation of probation

Deputies said all five suspects were booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
