Local nonprofit breaks ground on new resale center in DHS

Local nonprofit Angel View broke ground Wednesday morning on a new resale center that will serve as headquarters for all of the organization’s resale operations and benefit Angel View’s programs for people with disabilities.

The 26,250 square-foot clearance and transportation center located near the 10 Freeway and Highway 62 will feature about 13,000 square feet of industrial space, 9,000 square feet of commercial retail space and 3,600 square feet of office space.

The site will also facilitate shipments of baled textiles, bulk recyclable metal, recycled e-waste and pre-crushed and compacted materials, according to the Desert Hot Springs-based organization. About 40 employees will work at the site.

According to Angel View, prices at the Desert Hot Springs location will be greatly marked down from those found at Angel View’s 21 resale stores. Proceeds from the store will benefit Angel View’s programs for children and adults with disabilities, which include physical and psychiatric therapy, outreach and residential care.

The Angel View Clearance and Transportation Center Site will be located on Dillon Road, west of Bearce Road.
