Dogs and cats headed to new homes

Some local dogs and cats up for adoption, now have a place to call home.

More than 50 adoptable dogs and cats filled the stores in the Gardens on El Paseo Friday.

The animals came from various shelters and organizations all over the valley.

The Bianca Rae Foundation and the Gardens teamed up for the inaugural event.

A total of 10 animals were adopted and meet and greets have been set up for some of the remaining pets
