Man in jail after robbing two people at gunpoint in Coachella
Coachella police responded to a robbery in a business parking lot on the 83-500 block of Avenue 48 on Wednesday at 11:11 p.m. Officers found two victims who were robbed of their personal belongings by a man who pulled a handgun on them.
On Friday, the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force took over the investigation. With assistance from the Indio Police Department, 20 year-old Joey Edward Guillen Jr. of Indio was identified as the suspect.
Guillen was arrested in the area of John Nobles Avenue and Daisy Street in Indio. GTF officers served a search warrant at a residence located on the 46-500 block of Monte Verde Street. Guillen was booked into the Riverside County Jail for robbery.
